Ian & Elizabeth - Amalfi Catholic wedding on July 7th, 2008

A massive Thank You to Martina and all the team at Exclusive Italy for organising our wedding in Amalfi. We had such an amazing day and couldn't have asked for anything better. Martina was absolutely great from the very first time I contacted her via the Exclusive Italy website. She was always prompt in responding to any questions I had, and also provided some wonderful suggestions.

Our whole experience in Amalfi was great, with fantastic scenery from the moment we reached the coast road on our transfer from Naples airport. Amalfi town is lovely - nice and small with lovely views over the sea and coast. Lots of lovely café's/restaurants and very friendly people.

Everybody involved in our wedding in Amalfi was very friendly and helpful. We met both the priest and paperwork assistant of the Church on Saturday afternoon. They went through the ceremony with us and made sure we didn't have any worries. Mr Di Pino also kindly met us Monday morning to bring us to sign papers in the town hall.

We met with Mr Antonio Liguori in the Luna Convento hotel Saturday evening to look at the venue and make sure everything was in order - which it was! The hotel is fabulous! The cloisters area is absolutely beautiful, and the view from the Tower restaurant is amazing.

The day of the wedding went absolutely perfectly. We both enjoyed it immensely and found the time flew by. All the guests commented on how great our onsite assistant, was. She made sure everybody knew where they should be and what was happening next.

The ceremony was lovely and the small Church in the Hotel was perfect for the numbers we had (36). After that were cocktails and canapés in the Cloisters. This was great as it gave people time to mix and relax for a while. The setting was ideal and there was no shortage of food and drink! Everybody was very impressed. The duo of musicians on guitar and mandolin really added to the atmosphere. Our photographer, Mr Massimo, took some fantastic photographs here of everybody enjoying themselves. He then brought us around the hotel for some more beautiful pictures.

After this it was over the road to the Tower restaurant for a full 4 hours of eating!! The food was fantastic, as well as the service. The waiters were all very friendly and took time to talk to the guests between courses. Mr Liguori also checked on us a few times to make sure we were happy and all was going to plan. Everything was perfect. And what a beautiful setting - overlooking the sea and Amalfi town. Fantastic.

Our singer for the night was also great and provided fantastic background music while we ate, followed by some great dancing music. Our only regret was that it couldn't go on for longer as by the time dinner was over there wasn't much time left for dancing! But everyone went home extremely happy, and full!

Our photographer, Mr Massimo, had our photos ready on Wednesday evening which was fantastic as we could show some of the guests before they flew home. He gave us 50 A4 printed photos which were lovely, plus a further 300 on CD of the full day!! Excellent. He really did an extremely professional service and was a lovely man.

All in all our wedding in Amalfi was a fantastic experience, and all involved were amazing. Thanks again for everything and I'll be recommending you to anyone I hear of that is planning a wedding abroad !
