This wonderful five-star luxurious hotel is perched atop the cliffs, commanding a spectacular view of the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. Beautiful private gardens and a five-acre orange grove surround the hotel providing a peaceful and natural environment exclusive to the guests. Its impressive gates open into the main square in Sorrento, the Piazza Tasso.
This hotel dates back to the 1834 and has been owned and run by the Fiorentino family, one of the few founding hotelier families remaining in Italy today. The long history of this hotel is reflected in the unique fin-de-siecle style of the building, containing original antique furniture and decorations.
Many celebrities and discerning travellers (Richard Wagner, Enrico Caruso, Marilyn Monroe, Sofia Loren, and others) lodged at this hotel.
Wedding banquets
Different wedding halls are available for refined and elegant receptions.- Frescoed Hall (up to 200 people) - The exquisitely frescoed ceilings and deco furnishings which create a sophisticated ambience exuding history and the incomparable flavour of natural, wholesome Mediterranean produce, combined with the magical backdrop of the Sorrento coast, make this restaurant one of the most beautiful, "delighful" places for the bon vivant. Allowed to groups of min. 35 guests, no rental fee applied.
- Bouquet Terrace (up to 80 people) - This is a splendid terrace overlooking the Gulf. Here you can savour fresh and original specialities of the Campania region while you soak up the spectacular sight of Ischia and Procida, admiring the many boats and yachts crossing this part of the sea. Allowed for lunch or dinner with payment of a rental fee for the exclusive use.
- Club restaurant (up to 35 guests) – Small restaurant hall with panoramic views. Exclusive use possible, no rental fee applied.
- Main Terrace – Used for welcome cocktails only. Panoramic views of the bay of Naples. Not exclusive use granted.

Music entertainment
During cocktail it is recommended classical music or traditional guitar and mandolin. During dinner it is possible to have any kind of music desired. Dancing is allowed. Music must finish around 11:30 pm.
Accommodation
Refined guest accommodations evoke the atmosphere of a gracious private home, furnished with authentic period furniture. 77 double rooms, and 21 suites. The hotel is open all year round and offers special rates for groups.

We want to sincerely thank you and your team for producing our spectacular wedding. Everyone always dreams of the perfect wedding, but our wedding in Positano really was a dream come true. There were absolutely no problems, everything was on time and beautiful. Even the weather cooperated to make it a 'time of our lives' experience on the magnificent outdoor terrace at the Positano town hall.
